Marina Lyandres

Senior Vice President, Application Development at MFA Financial

Marina Lyandres has held various roles in the field of application development throughout their career. Marina began their work experience in 2000 as an Information Technology Consultant at Pzena Investment Management, where they stayed until 2005. From 2005 to 2006, Marina worked as a Senior Developer at The Princeton Review. Marina then joined Brookfield Investment Management Inc. in 2006 and served as an Assistant Vice President in Quantitative Research until 2017. Marina's most recent position is at MFA Financial, Inc., where they started in 2018 as a Vice President in Application Development, and has since held the roles of First Vice President and Senior Vice President in the same department.

Marina Lyandres is currently an MBA student at Rutgers Business School, specializing in Modern Financial Technologies (FinTech). Prior to this, they obtained a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics and Cybernetics, Summa Cum Laude, from Kazan State University. Additionally, Marina has acquired several certifications, including Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst from Microsoft in December 2022, Introduction to R for Finance from DataCamp in January 2022, and Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) from Scrum Alliance® in October 2019. Marina is also a Certified Yoga Teacher (CYT 200) accredited by Yoga Alliance in 2015.
