The Multinational Force & Observers (MFO), headquartered in Rome, is an independent international organization, created by agreement between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the State of Israel, with peacekeeping responsibilities in the Sinai.
 
The origins of the MFO lie in Annex I to the 1979 Treaty of Peace between Egypt and Israel, in which the parties undertook to request the United Nations to provide a force and observers to supervise the implementation of the Treaty. When it did not prove possible to obtain Security Council approval for the stationing of a UN peacekeeping force in the Sinai, the parties negotiated a Protocol in 1981 establishing the MFO “as an alternative” to the envisioned UN force.

The Force Operations and Procurement team at MFO is responsible for ensuring the operational readiness of the peacekeeping force by managing the acquisition, supply, and maintenance of essential equipment and resources. This team oversees procurement processes, inventory management, contract negotiations, and project coordination to support the day-to-day operations and strategic objectives of the MFO's mission in the Sinai.

The Leadership Team at MFO oversees critical organizational functions to ensure effective peacekeeping operations in the Sinai. The Chief Information Officer (CIO) manages and secures the organization's information technology systems. The Deputy CIO - ICT supports the CIO in implementing and maintaining ICT strategies. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) handles financial planning, reporting, and budgeting to ensure fiscal responsibility and transparency. Together, they provide strategic direction and operational oversight to fulfill the MFO's mission.
