Erik Weisman

Erik Weisman serves as Chief Economist and Portfolio Manager at MFS Investment Management since May 2002. Prior to this role, Erik worked as Deputy Office Director in the Office of Latin America at the U.S. Department of the Treasury from 2001 to 2002 and as Assistant to the US Executive Director at the International Monetary Fund from 1999 to 2001. Earlier experience includes serving as an International Economist in the Office of Central and Eastern Europe at the U.S. Department of the Treasury from 1997 to 1999. Erik holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Michigan and a Doctor of Philosophy in Economics from Duke University.
