Kasper Svendsen

Kasper Svendsen is an experienced professional in risk management and trading within the gas sector. Currently serving as Lead of Risk Management at MFT Energy since December 2022, Kasper acts as a principal strategic partner to the Chief Risk Officer, overseeing group-level risk exposure. Prior to this role, Kasper held significant positions including Head of Trading Gas at Andel Energi, managing a substantial gas portfolio and leading multiple teams, and Head of Wholesale at HMN Naturgas A/S, where leadership of teams and oversight of trading and risk management activities were key responsibilities. Earlier experience includes roles in pricing and risk management at HMN Gashandel A/S and a foundational role as an economist at HNG Midt-Nord Handel A/S. Kasper's educational background includes an MSc in Finance & Accounting and a BSc in Economics & Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School. Additionally, Kasper was a participant in the World Gas Union Youth Programme at the World Gas Conference in 2012.
