Darius van der Walt

Darius van der Walt is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in product strategy and development within the investment sector. Currently serving as Head of Product at M&G Investments Southern Africa since September 2016, Darius oversees the retail and institutional fund offerings for South Africa and Ireland, while chairing several committees including the Product, Fee, and Fair Value Committees. Additionally, Darius holds the position of CEO at M&G Investments Life South Africa, providing life-wrapped investment solutions for the institutional and corporate markets. As a Non-Executive Director for M&G (South Africa) Global Funds ICAV, Darius contributes to the governance of the Irish Collective Asset-management Vehicle. Prior experience includes leading linked funds at Old Mutual Wealth and holding various actuarial roles at Old Mutual South Africa. Darius is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, a Fellow of the Actuarial Society of South Africa, a CFA Charterholder, and holds a BComm(Hons) in Actuarial Science from Stellenbosch University.
