Yong Hou is the President of BGI Group Europe and the President of MGI for Europe and Africa. With a strong background in genomics, they focus on the translational research of applying next-generation sequencing (NGS) to cancer precision medicine. Yong has extensive experience in NGS study design, data analysis, and research and development team management, and has published numerous peer-reviewed scientific papers while co-inventing several patents in the NGS field. They earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in biology from Københavns Universitet between 2014 and 2017.
