Erik Leaver

Erik Leaver is the Vice President of Mortgage Modeling and Analytics at MGIC, a position held since June 2020. Previously, Erik served as the Director of Modeling Analytics and Methodology at The SAS Institute from October 2014 to June 2020, leading a team to develop a software product for financial services to implement complex risk models. At Ally Financial Services, from June 2010 to October 2014, Erik was the Senior Vice President of Modeling and Analytics, responsible for creating behavioral models in the mortgage and auto sectors. Erik's earlier roles include Director of Risk Modeling at Ally Financial (GMAC) and Senior Quantitative Analyst at GMAC RFC Nederland B.V., where risk models were deployed for critical business functions. Erik began their career as an Econometric Modeler at GMAC-RFC. Erik holds a PhD and MA in Economics from the University of Notre Dame and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from Saint John's University.
