Brian Ahern

Brian Ahern is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in media relations and press management. Currently serving as the Executive Director of Communications at MGM Resorts International since February 2017, Ahern has held various roles in the organization, including Director of Media Relations and Media Relations Manager. Prior to this, Ahern worked in the United States Senate from June 2014 to January 2017 as Press Secretary and Speechwriter for Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid, and as Press Assistant. Ahern's career also includes positions as Associate Editor at the Seafarers International Union of North America and reporter roles at Gannett | USA TODAY NETWORK and other publications. Ahern graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas.
