Additionally, Sharon was the Director of Special Events at Special Olympics Connecticut from May 2008 to April 2016 and owned The Main Event, LLC., where expertise in special events and fundraising consulting was utilized from January 2004 to December 2008. Earlier career achievements include serving as the Director of Development at the American Red Cross from March 1999 to June 2003. Sharon holds an Associate's Degree in Applied Science with a focus on Hospitality Management from Naugatuck Valley Community College.
