J. Michael Atkinson

J. Michael Atkinson is a seasoned architectural professional with extensive experience in residential design, currently serving as Principal at Atkinson Designs since January 2010. J. Michael's previous roles include Designer and Project Manager at AJ Architects, AIA, from May 2007 to May 2022, as well as significant involvement in various organizations, such as serving as National Associates Director and Regional Associate Director for the AIA - National Associates Committee from January 2013 to January 2015, and Director of Emerging Professionals for AIA South Carolina from January 2011 to December 2012. J. Michael has also contributed as an Adjunct Faculty member at Trident Technical College and held board positions in AIA Charleston. Educational background includes a Master in Architecture from Southern California Institute of Architecture and a BS in Design from Clemson University.
