Heather Winiarski, CPA, CGMA, has extensive work experience in the field of accounting. Heather currently holds the position of National Director of Audit Technology at Mayer Hoffman McCann P.C., where they are responsible for integrating new technologies into the audit process. Heather is also a Shareholder at the same firm and plays an active role in the Audit Methodology Steering Committee, specializing in lease accounting. Furthermore, they lead the IDEA Champions Group, focusing on integrating audit data analytics in engagements. Prior to joining Mayer Hoffman McCann P.C., Heather worked at CBIZ, where they held various roles such as Director, Senior Manager, Manager, Senior Associate, and Associate. Heather also completed an internship at PricewaterhouseCoopers and CBIZ during their early years in the profession. Heather began their career as a Data Entry Clerk at Kelly's Services, where they performed data entry as a summer job between college semesters.

Heather Winiarski, CPA, CGMA, earned their Bachelor's degree in Accountancy at the University of Missouri-Columbia, where they studied from 2000 to 2004. Heather continued their education and obtained a Master's degree in Accountancy (MAcc) from the same institution. In 2005, Heather obtained their first Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the Missouri Society of CPAs. The following year, in 2006, they also obtained their CPA certification from the Kansas Society of CPAs. In 2014, Heather earned the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation from the AICPA.

Heather has also pursued additional certifications to enhance their knowledge and skills. In 2019, they obtained several certificates related to data analysis and visualization from the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants, including the Data Visualization Certificate, Forecasting and Predictive Analytics Certificate, Data Analytics Modeling Certificate, Application of Data Analysis Essentials Certificate, and Data Analysis Fundamentals Certificate. These certifications showcase Heather's dedication to staying up-to-date with the latest tools and techniques in the field of accounting and highlight their expertise in data analysis.
