Ed Mills has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Ed started their career at MidlandHR as a Graduate Trainee in 2006 and continued until 2008. In 2008, they joined ABM United Kingdom Limited as a Marketing Executive and later became a Marketing Manager from 2010 to 2012. In 2012, Mills joined MHR as a Marketing Communications Manager and subsequently held various roles such as Alliances Manager, Account Manager/Business Development Manager, Senior Business Development Manager, and currently serves as the Head of Account Management since January 2019.

Ed Mills attended Norwich School from 1996 to 2003, but did not obtain a degree. Ed then went on to study at the University of Nottingham from 2003 to 2006, completing a BA (Hons) in Geography, Business, and the Environment. In 2009, they enrolled at Nottingham Business School, Nottingham Trent University, where they obtained a Professional Diploma in Marketing, which they completed in 2010. In 2011, Ed Mills obtained a Professional Diploma from The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). Later, they pursued further education at the University of Warwick - Warwick Business School, where they completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from 2015 to 2018. It is not clear when they obtained the Chartered Marketer certification from The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).
