Matt Assad

Matt Assad is a Director on the Verticalized Software, Data & Analytics investment banking team. Prior to Cowen, he was a Director at Portico (joining in 2019) where he was involved in multiple cross-border sell-side processes, buy-side mandates, and committed acquisition financings representing more than $5 billion of Enterprise Value. Prior to Portico, Matt served as Vice President in the Global Industrials Group at Barclays and began his career as a management consultant at Towers Watson.

Matt holds a BA in Economics from the University of Chicago, where he was a four-year member of the varsity baseball team. He also holds an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.
