David Hansen has extensive experience in the healthcare industry. David began their career in 1990 as a Regional Planning Coordinator at Kaiser Permanente. David then worked as a Senior Consultant at Hansen Network from 1996 to 1998, and as a Consultant at IT Optimizers from 1998 to 2011. In 2011, they became a Contracting Consultant at Kaiser Permanente IT, and then a Senior Healthcare Consultant at Health Industry Consulting, Inc. from 2015 to 2018. In 2018, they rejoined Miaplaza, Inc. as Co-founder, a role they had been on the team for over a decade. At Miaplaza, they support management of operational, strategic, legal and staffing challenges for a rapidly growing K-8 E-learning company. David also served as Director Business Development at Imatis USA from 2008 to 2013, and as Principal Consultant at The Hansen Network from 2013 to 2015. During their time as Principal Consultant, they led preparations for conversion to ICD-10, including mapping ICD-10 impacts across over one hundred applications and remediating and testing 52 clinical and revenue cycle applications.

David Hansen holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business in Business, a Master's Degree in Applied Economics from UC Santa Barbara, a Cand. Mag. in Comparative Politics and Economics from the University of Bergen (UiB), and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from the University of California, Santa Cruz. David also holds two certifications, a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute obtained in September 2015 and a Certified ScrumMaster from the Scrum Alliance obtained in October 2015.
