Barry Puskas

Chief of Technical & Engineering Services at Miami Conservancy District

Barry Puskas is MCD’s chief of technical and engineering services, providing technical expertise in geographic information systems, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and analysis, flood forecast modeling, and high-water alert systems and operation. Prior to MCD in 2007, he served as a hydrologist with the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Ohio Water Science Center in Columbus, Ohio. Barry has also worked as a consulting engineer designing site development plans, city-wide water distribution, sewer and storm water systems modeling using Geographic Information Systems (GIS), dam design and upgrades for privately owned dams, and roadway design. He is a registered professional engineer, a geographical information systems professional, and a graduate of The Ohio State University.
