David Albert

David Albert is a seasoned communication specialist with extensive experience in emergency services and disaster response. Currently, David serves as a Communication Specialist with FEMA USAR FL Task Force 1 since May 2016, focusing on urban search and rescue operations. Simultaneously, David has been a Fire Fighter Paramedic with Miami-Dade Fire Rescue since January 2005, establishing communication infrastructure during emergencies and large-scale disasters. Additionally, David has held the position of Communications Officer with Florida International University's Florida Advanced Surgical Transport team since December 2009, supporting medical air transport and surgical care. Prior to this, David was also a Communications Officer for the HHS IMSuRT, providing emergency surgical care in crisis situations from December 2009 to May 2016. David's early career includes serving as IT Manager for SESI / Kottmann, Inc., supporting Department of Defense and Department of Justice contracts. David holds an Associate of Arts degree in Computer Science from Broward College and an Associate of Science in EMS from the American Medical Academy.
