Ursula Price

Ursula Price serves as the Outreach and Engagement Division Director for Community Action and Human Services at Miami-Dade County, along with holding the role of Executive Director for the Independent Civilian Panel since December 2022. Prior experience includes directing nonprofit consulting at Poder en Acción and leading the New Orleans Workers' Center for Racial Justice from August 2018 to November 2022. Notable previous roles include Deputy Police Monitor and Acting Deputy Police Monitor at the New Orleans Independent Police Monitor, where responsibilities included developing policies and assessing the quality of police investigations. Price also has experience as the Director of Community Relations for the same organization, Advocacy Coordinator for the Southern Poverty Law Center, and organizer for Safe Streets/Strong Communities. Educational qualifications include multiple Master’s degrees in International Relations and Political Science from the University of Chicago, alongside various certifications in internal affairs and social media.
