Luis Berthin serves as a Library Archivist at the Miami-Dade Public Library System since April 2022, specializing in the evaluation and preservation of culturally significant materials, management of electronic records, and providing research support to patrons. Previously, Luis held the position of Digital Library Archivist at Miami Dade College from February 2022 to March 2023, where responsibilities included managing a digital repository and developing instructional materials on information literacy. Luis has also contributed as an Assistant Archivist at The Black Archives History & Research Foundation of South Florida, leading the digitization of historical materials and engaging in community outreach. Earlier experience includes roles as an Assistant Manager at Signarama and a Project Intern at Florida International University. Luis holds a Master’s degree in Information Science/Studies from Florida State University and a Bachelor’s degree in History from Florida International University.
