Margarita Mirabal is an experienced librarian currently serving as the Digital Collections Manager and Technical Services Librarian at Miami-Dade Public Library System since April 2016. Prior to this role, Margarita worked at Florida International University from September 2011 to April 2016 as the Digital Collections Librarian and Digital Archivist. Additional experience includes an internship at The Metropolitan Museum of Art's Image Library in early 2011, a position as Digital Asset Management Administrator at Wildlife Conservation Society from 2010 to 2011, and an internship at Watson Library at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in late 2009. Earlier, Margarita served as a Photo Archivist at The Miami Herald from January 2008 to August 2009. Margarita holds a Master of Science in Library and Information Science from Pratt Institute and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Florida International University.
