Michelle Verdin is a Ph.D. candidate in Industrial and Organizational Psychology at St. Thomas University, with an extensive background in law enforcement and mental health counseling. Currently serving as a Police Sergeant in the Community Relations Section of the Miami Police Department, Michelle has held various positions within the department since 2007, including roles in Internal Affairs, Crisis Negotiation, and Field Operations. Michelle's earlier experience includes a role as a Residential Mental Health Counselor Intern at Chrysalis Health and a Sales Manager at Sterling Jewelers. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership, among others, culminating in a diverse career focused on community relations, organizational development, and mental health.
