Cheryl D. Young

Cheryl D. Young serves as the Associate Vice President for Global Initiatives at Miami University since June 2003, where responsibilities include acting as the Senior International Officer. Cheryl has previously held the position of Director of Extended & Global Studies, focusing on learner-centered programming and the administration of academic travel programs. Cheryl also led the continuing higher education unit as Associate Director/Interim Director during a transitional phase. In addition to extensive professional experience, Cheryl holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Miami University and has participated in various leadership development programs at Harvard Graduate School of Education and the HERS Institute. Academic qualifications include a MEd in Curriculum & Leadership and a BA in English Literature/Women's Studies from Miami University. Cheryl was also a member of the Board of Directors for Lane Library from 2005 to 2011.
