Matt Omasta

Matt Omasta is a prominent academic and theatre professional serving as the Professor and Theatre Department Chair at Miami University since July 2022. With extensive experience in educational leadership and theatre arts, Omasta has held significant positions at Utah State University from 2010 to 2022, including Professor of Theatre Arts and Associate Dean of the Caine College of the Arts. Active in the American Educational Research Association, Omasta has held various roles within the Arts & Learning Special Interest Group since 2016, including Chair and Immediate Past Chair. Contributions to the American Alliance for Theatre and Education from 2004 to 2019 include Director of Research & Scholarship and several leadership roles on the Board of Directors.
