Russell Peterson

Russell Peterson has extensive experience in coaching and athletics, currently serving as the Assistant Head Track and Field Coach at Miami University since October 2015. Prior to this role, Russell held positions at Western Illinois University as the Cross Country/Track & Field Coach and at The University of Iowa as a Volunteer Assistant Coach specializing in sprints, hurdles, and relays. Russell has also worked as a firefighter with the North Liberty Fire Department and Hose Company #1. Earlier coaching roles include tenure at Colgate University and Augustana College (SD), as well as a Graduate Assistant position at Augustana College. Russell holds a Master of Education in Education/Athletic Administration from Augustana University and a Bachelor of Education in Art Education from The University of Iowa.
