Peter bon Viso

Peter Bon Viso, JD, CAMS, currently serves as Vice President and Regulatory Counsel at MIAX Exchange Group, providing guidance to various regulatory groups and leading special projects since August 2023. Previously, Peter held the position of General Counsel and Director at Joseph Gunnar & Co., LLC, where responsibilities included overseeing legal coverage for private placements and investment banking from September 2020 to August 2023. As an independent consultant from September 2016 to September 2020, Peter advised financial institutions on regulatory compliance and served as General Counsel for a family media business. Peter's earlier roles include Senior Director & Counsel at FINRA, Senior Counsel at New York Stock Exchange Regulation, and Senior Regional Attorney at NASD, with a focus on compliance, enforcement, and risk management in the financial sector. Peter's career began at Merrill Lynch as Vice President & Counsel, where Peter managed litigation and arbitration disputes. Peter holds a JD from Brooklyn Law School and a Bachelor's Degree from Fordham University.
