Mike Eksteen

Mike Eksteen has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Mike is currently serving as the Chief Growth Officer at MIC Global since May 2022. Before this, they worked as a Senior Advisor at the same company from November 2021 to May 2022.

Prior to joining MIC Global, Mike founded CapitalGrind in January 2014 and served as the Founder. Mike started Tech in Africa in January 2016 as a Co-Founder and was responsible for the digital media and news platform focusing on innovation, technology, new business, and capital flow in Africa.

From May 2016 to September 2020, Mike worked at Chubb as the Chief Digital Officer, Asia Pacific. In this role, they led the development of Chubb Digital, an integrated digital insurance business in Asia Pacific, transforming the entire insurance value chain and driving new digital revenue growth.

Mike also has experience working with New Zealand Trade and Enterprise as an Advisor from October 2020 to May 2022.

Previously, Mike co-founded and served as the CEO of The Bakery Ideas Company from January 2003 to July 2016. The company was a digital technology and brand marketing studio catering to enterprise retail, financial services, and telco clients in Southern Africa, UAE, and Singapore.

Lastly, Mike worked at Uncharted from October 2020 to October 2021 as the Chief of Strategy & Growth. In this role, they formulated and executed growth strategies aligned with business objectives and played a key role in designing the Uncharted iPaaS platform, enabling digital insurance transactions globally.
