Bjorn Hansson has held various roles in engineering and leadership throughout their career. Their most recent position is as Vice President of Engineering at Micatu, Inc., starting in May 2023. Prior to this role, they served as the VP of Engineering at Swisslog Healthcare from March 2019 to June 2023.

From 2017 to 2019, Bjorn worked as the Director of Electric Machine Engineering at BorgWarner Inc., where they were responsible for engineering electric machines for hybrid and electric vehicles. During their time there, they successfully acquired three P2 hybrid drive projects with global OEMs and upgraded the engineering team's skill set.

Before BorgWarner, Bjorn worked at Bergstrom Inc. as the Director of Global Mechatronics from July 2016 to March 2017 and as the Chief Mechatronics Engineer from April 2013 to June 2016. Bjorn built a global mechatronics engineering team, developed brushless DC fan motors for vertical integration, and implemented Design for Six Sigma methods.

Prior to Bergstrom, Bjorn was at Brose, where they held several roles including Manager Electronics Development from April 2011 to April 2013, Supervisor Electronics Engineering from October 2006 to April 2011, and Application Engineer from October 2004 to October 2006. During their time at Brose, they built engineering teams, developed window lift electronics applications, and created robust application tools.

Bjorn began their career as a Project Engineer at Intelligent Mechatronic Systems - IMS from March 2001 to October 2004, where they worked on seat sensing systems, capacitive sensors, and test lab development.

Bjorn Hansson has a strong educational background in engineering, with a focus on electronics and automation. From 1996 to 2001, they attended Chalmers University of Technology, where they obtained a Master's degree in Automation and Mechatronics. Following this, they pursued further studies at the University of Waterloo from 2000 to 2001, earning another Master's degree in Electronics Engineering.
