Brian A. Lutes

Brian A. Lutes is President and Chief Executive Officer of Michael Baker International, a global leader in engineering, planning and consulting services with more than 3,000 employees across 100 locations nationwide. As CEO, Mr. Lutes is responsible for overseeing all facets of the business and the overall performance of the company.

Prior to his role as CEO, Mr. Lutes was the Chief Operating Officer for Michael Baker after serving as Chief Financial Officer from 2014 until August 2016. Mr. Lutes has held several executive positions throughout his career including Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Sypris Solutions, Inc.; Chief Financial Officer and Vice Chairman at MAG – Industrial Automation Systems; Chief Financial Officer and Vice President at The Wornick Company; and Senior Vice President - Human Resources at Fifth Third Bancorp. He also spent 15 years with the General Electric Company in various leadership roles, culminating with his position as Chief Financial Officer of Global Operations for GE Medical Systems.

Mr. Lutes holds an M.B.A. from the University of Connecticut School of Business and a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Louisville J.B. Speed School of Engineering. He is also a graduate of GE’s Manufacturing Leadership Curriculum and Corporate Audit Staff.
