Misty Burns has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Misty started in 1999 as an Associate at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, where they worked until 2005. From 2005 to 2011, they served as the Associate General Tax Counsel at Energy Future Holdings. In 2013, Misty joined the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation as the Controller and later held the position of Director of Finance. Currently, Misty is the Vice President of Finance at the foundation.
Misty Burns completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting at the University of Southern California from 1992 to 1996. Following that, they pursued their Doctor of Law (JD) degree at The University of Texas School of Law from 1996 to 1999.
