Emily is a Senior Associate in the Commercial and Regulatory Disputes Team.
She graduated from the University of Birmingham, has an LLB Law with French and a Deuxième Année DEUG from L’université de Bordeaux, France
Emily advises local, national, and international clients on a wide range of commercial and contractual disputes, high court litigation and alternative dispute resolution. Emily also has a specialism in data protection law and compliance and regularly advises clients in relation to complex Subject Access and Freedom of Information Act requests, data breach situations and data sharing arrangements including as part of due diligence for corporate and property transactions.
Emily is recognised in legal directories including Legal 500 and Chambers as "a Rising Star" with clients describing her as, "professional, understanding, strong guidance at all times. Great empathy despite difficult and trying circumstances. Not afraid to stand up for the client. Clarity of information and clear direction.
Outside of work, Emily is an Independent Volunteer Visitor with the National Youth Advocacy Service which involves being a trusted friend for a young person in care and is passionate about finding more Volunteer Visitors to support looked after children in Devon.
