Matthew Showalter

Matthew Showalter, MAI, is the President of The Showalter Group, LLC, providing commercial real property appraisal and consulting services since August 2014. Showalter also serves as the Director for the National School Boards Association and as President of the Mt. Pleasant Area Community Foundation. Additionally, Showalter has been a Board of Education Trustee for Shepherd Public Schools, holding positions such as President and Vice President, and is a Trustee for Gratiot-Isabella RESD, currently serving as Vice President. As a member of the Board of Directors for the Michigan Association of School Boards, oversight of MASB activities is included in responsibilities. Furthermore, Showalter is a Licensed Associate Real Estate Broker for MT Real Estate Central LLC and Managing Member for both Maple Leaf Apartments of Shepherd and Maple Leaf Storage, LLC. An adjunct professor at Central Michigan University from January 2022 to May 2023, Showalter earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Central Michigan University.
