Becky Burtka currently serves as the Vice President of Member Engagement at the Michigan Chamber of Commerce since January 2023, previously holding the position of Director of Member Engagement and Legislative Affairs. Prior experience includes serving as Legislative Director for the Speaker of the House at the Michigan House of Representatives from December 2020 to December 2022, and as Director of External and Legislative Affairs at AT&T from November 2019 to December 2020. Additionally, Becky Burtka worked at the Michigan House of Representatives in various roles from January 2015 to November 2019, including State Budget Director and Deputy State Budget Director. Earlier roles at the Michigan Senate from February 2011 to December 2014 included Legislative Aide, Appropriations Clerk, and Constituent Relations Director. Becky Burtka holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History with a minor in English from Oakland University, completed in 2010.

The Michigan Chamber of Commerce is a statewide business organization representing over 5,000 employers, trade associations and local chambers of commerce. The Michigan Chamber represents businesses of every size and type in all 83 counties of the state. The Michigan Chamber was established in 1959 to be an advocate for Michigan’s job providers in the legislative, political and legal process.
