Matt Maher serves as the Senior Director of Membership Development at the Michigan Chamber of Commerce since September 2012, focusing on business outreach and membership benefits. Prior to this role, Maher was a Territory Manager at Model Coverall Service, Inc., where responsibilities included acquiring new business accounts across southern lower Michigan. Before that, as a self-employed consultant from January 2010 to October 2011, Maher provided business solutions in connectivity and energy savings throughout Michigan, northern Indiana, and Ohio. Additionally, Maher gained experience in sales at Darling Builders Supply, collaborating with contractors and builders in the construction industry from April 2003 to January 2010. Maher holds an Associate's degree in Hotel/Motel Administration/Management from Lansing Community College.

The Michigan Chamber of Commerce is a statewide business organization representing over 5,000 employers, trade associations and local chambers of commerce. The Michigan Chamber represents businesses of every size and type in all 83 counties of the state. The Michigan Chamber was established in 1959 to be an advocate for Michigan’s job providers in the legislative, political and legal process. It is one of only six state chambers of commerce in the nation accredited by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and one of only four state chambers accredited with distinction. The Michigan Chamber has been voted the most effective membership lobbying in the Lansing for the last 16 years running.
