Sue Garrity has extensive experience in technology and management, currently serving as the Senior Director of Membership Information Services at Michigan Chamber of Commerce since May 1992, where responsibilities include supporting staff in technology usage, database management, and overseeing technology-related projects. Additionally, Sue has been the President of the Bath Township Public Library Board of Trustees since November 2017, contributing to the establishment of a new library in the community. Prior roles include Software Specialist for the State of Michigan's Child Support Enforcement System, where successful project management led to the implementation of the child support system, and Office Automation Specialist at Manpower of Michigan, gaining valuable experience in hardware and software. Sue's career began as an Office Assistant at Minor Walton Bean Company/Agri-Sales, Inc., and academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University.

The Michigan Chamber of Commerce is a statewide business organization representing over 5,000 employers, trade associations and local chambers of commerce. The Michigan Chamber represents businesses of every size and type in all 83 counties of the state. The Michigan Chamber was established in 1959 to be an advocate for Michigan’s job providers in the legislative, political and legal process. It is one of only six state chambers of commerce in the nation accredited by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and one of only four state chambers accredited with distinction. The Michigan Chamber has been voted the most effective membership lobbying in the Lansing for the last 16 years running.
