Jerry Kohen

Jerry Kohen is a board member at the Michigan Dental Association and was previously employed at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, where they served as Chief of the Dental Service. In this role, they managed operations, budgets, performance improvement, strategic planning and HR protocols of a large hospital based dental clinic. Jerry also coached and mentored rotating residents and students, treated patients and served on many hospital and VA Central Office committees.

Jerry Kohen has also been employed at the University of Detroit Mercy, where they served as Clinical Instructor and Lecturer. In this role, they mentored and supervised dental student's clinical activities and presented didactic courses.

Additionally, Jerry Kohen has been employed as Senior Vice President & Chief Clinical Officer at CanaDent Corporation/New You Dental Centers. In this role, they were responsible for the management and direction of all clinical staff, activities and functions for these Dental Support Organizations. Jerry also authored several clinical documents that are used as guidelines by these organizations and practices.

Jerry Kohen received their MBA in Business Administration and Management from Michigan State University - Eli Broad College of Business. Jerry also holds a DDS from the University of Detroit Mercy and a BS in Psychology from Wayne State University.
