Karen Burgess

Karen Burgess is the current Executive Director & CEO at the Michigan Dental Association. Karen has over 20 years of experience in strategic leadership roles for membership marketing and member services. Prior to their current position, they were the Senior Director of Membership Marketing and Member Services for the American Dental Association from 1996 to 2013, where they oversaw membership marketing for 157,000+ member dentists and 18,000 dental student members. Karen also directed educational efforts for the Society for Healthcare Planning and Marketing at the American Hospital Association from 1994 to 1996.

Karen Burgess has a MBA in Marketing from the Wisconsin School of Business and a BA in Psychology from Illinois State University. Karen also has a certification from the Graham School Writers Studio.
