Brenda Stewart is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in economic development and workforce solutions. Currently serving as a Business Development Manager at the Michigan Economic Development Corporation since November 2016, Brenda focuses on fostering economic growth in Southwest Michigan by collaborating with businesses and government stakeholders to enhance business retention and expansion. Previously, Brenda worked as a Case Manager and Business Services professional at Michigan Works/HRDI from March 2010 to November 2016, providing career guidance and employment coaching to individuals facing unemployment. Brenda's career began at Starbucks Coffee Company, where Brenda advanced from Barista to Store Manager, implementing recruitment strategies over a five-year tenure. Brenda holds a Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Grand Valley State University.
