Shanda V.

Shanda V. possesses extensive experience in youth education and mental health, currently serving as a Recipient Rights Officer at Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services since February 2012, where Shanda facilitates the Healthy Relationships curriculum for high school students in the Grand Rapids area. Additionally, Shanda is a Community Youth Educator with the Michigan High School Athletic Association and an Adjunct Professor at Grand Rapids Community College, teaching essential skills for educational success. Shanda's roles also include co-facilitating parenting sessions at the Kent County Juvenile Detention Center with The Parenthood Project and facilitating skill-building sessions for juvenile detention residents through Integrity Educational Services. Previously involved in various initiatives promoting social justice and community engagement, Shanda holds a Master's degree in Counselor Education from Western Michigan University and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the same institution.
