Tammy Brown has extensive experience in human resources, particularly within the Michigan Department of Civil Service (MDOC), where roles have included State Administrative Manager 15, Human Resources Specialist, and Human Resource Officer. With a career spanning from 2002 to the present, Tammy has directed the work of professional staff and exercised independent judgment within human resource management functions. Previous experience includes positions at D & D Home Center, MDOC Labor Relations, and Jackson National Life, culminating in a diverse background in administrative and human resource roles. Tammy holds two Associate degrees in Social Work & Criminal Justice and Human Services from Lansing Community College, along with ongoing education at Jackson Community College and Bay de Noc Community College.

The Michigan Lottery was founded in 1972 to provide entertaining games of chance which deliver revenue to the state School Aid Fund. Today, the Michigan Lottery has a retail network of more than 10,500 local businesses offering our portfolio of products. About 97 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to vendors and retailers. In the 2021 fiscal year, the Lottery provided more than $1.4 billion for Michigan’s public schools, its seventh record contribution.
