Prior to this, Lorrie West worked as a Records Clerk at Eastern Illinois University, where responsibilities included confirming student attendance and handling data entry. Early career experience included a position as a Transfer Clerk at Lake City Bank, focusing on maintaining customer records and handling stock and bond certificates. Lorrie West holds an Associate's degree in Business/Commerce from Lansing Community College, earned between 1979 and 1981.
