Andrew Belanger

Andrew Belanger currently serves as the Statewide Social Media Director and Digital Content Administrator for the State of Michigan, overseeing the social media program for various government entities since December 2016. Previously, Andrew held leadership roles at Government Social Media LLC as Past President of the GSM Membership Council, and at the Central Michigan Public Relations Society of America as Past President. Andrew's career includes positions such as Communications Manager for the Michigan Health & Hospital Association and Social Media Manager for the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. Andrew began the professional journey as a Police Officer and Vocational Trainer, showcasing a diverse skill set in public service, communications, and digital content management. Andrew holds an M.A. in Higher Adult Learning and Education from Michigan State University and a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Ferris State University.
