Fiyah Angel has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. In 2008, Fiyah started as a Freelance Writer and Public Speaker, working independently. In 2010, Fiyah joined Recovery Consultants Inc as a Substance Abuse Counselor and Case Manager, where they conducted interviews and provided referrals to individuals and families in need. Fiyah also worked as an Addictions Therapist at Solutions To Recovery during this time. In 2012, Fiyah became a Youth Specialist Supervisor at Oakland County, Michigan Government, overseeing the care and support of young people. In 2015, Fiyah took on the role of a Social Media Organizer, curating content and engaging with online platforms. Fiyah joined Foundations Recovery Network in 2016 as a Patient Intake Coordinator. Additionally, Fiyah served as a Field Organizer for Michigan United and the Michigan People's Campaign in 2018, organizing grassroots efforts. They also worked at the Radical Well-Being Center, serving as a Reiki Master and contributing to the center's radical well-being initiatives. Overall, Fiyah has gained experience in writing, speaking, counseling, organization, and community engagement throughout their career.

Fiyah Angel pursued a degree in Social Work at Marygrove College from 2010 to 2013. During the same period, they also studied Psychology at Baker College of Flint, obtaining a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree. Prior to that, from 2007 to 2009, they attended Oakland Community College and participated in the Associates Degree Program, focusing on Mental Health Social Work, Child Development, Abnormal Psychology, and Psychology of Adjustment. Besides their formal education, Fiyah Angel has obtained certifications in Motivational Interviewing from Motivational Interviewing for Change in April 2008. They are also a Usui Reiki Master, although the institution where they obtained this certification is unknown, as well as the specific month and year.
