Tara Becker-Utess currently serves as the Assistant Principal at MASON PUBLIC SCHOOLS since August 2021 and has been an Online Instructor at Michigan Virtual High School since April 2008, providing students with the opportunity to take math and social studies courses online. Previous experience includes acting as an Academic Consultant at Ingham ISD from 2014 to 2022, where support was provided to secondary teachers in mathematics and social studies through professional development in blended learning and assessment. Tara also held the position of Interventions Coordinator at Charlotte High School from June 2012 to August 2014 and worked as a High School Teacher at Charlotte Public Schools from 2005 to 2014. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Education from Western Michigan University, a Master's in Teaching and Curriculum from Michigan State University, and studies in Education Leadership at Western Michigan University.
