Sean Lord

Sean Lord has a diverse work experience spanning from 1992 to the present. Sean is currently the Chief Executive Officer at MICLEDI microdisplays, where they are leading the development of a new Light Engine for the Augmented Reality market. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Director at TDK InvenSense in 2019. In 2017, Sean was the Chief Technology Officer at InfiniLED, a MicroLED startup that was later acquired by Oculus. From 2013 to 2017, they worked at Qualcomm as the Director of Engineering, where they managed teams involved in developing consumer display technology. Sean also has experience as the VP of R&D at CogniVue Corporation from 2010 to 2012. From 2005 to 2010, they served as the VP of Engineering at Gennum Corporation, where they played a key role in the market presence of pre-programmed multicore Audio DSPs and data communication ICs. Prior to that, Sean worked at MOSAID Semiconductors as an IC Design Manager and at Microcosm Communications as an Analog IC Designer. At Centronic, they served as a Project Lead from 1992 to 1995.

Sean Lord completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Physics at Heriot-Watt University. Sean then pursued a Master's Degree with a focus on Microelectronics and Physics at the University of Southampton from 1995 to 1997.
