Kaley Pederson

Research Microbiologist at Microbial Discovery Group

Kaley Pederson is a research microbiologist at Microbial Discovery Group since October 2018, specializing in microbiological research and analysis. Prior experience includes an internship at Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District as a microbiology laboratory intern, where daily tests on fecal coliform and membrane filtration analysis of wastewater effluent were conducted. Kaley served as an undergraduate research assistant at Silva Laboratory-University of Wisconsin, focusing on arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi and its symbiosis with carrots, and gained additional laboratory experience through a biochemical oxygen demand/solids laboratory internship at Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District. Kaley holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Plant Pathology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has also engaged in customer service roles in various capacities.
