Carl Novina

Carl Novina began their work experience in 2004 as an Associate Professor at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School. In 2006, they joined Broad Institute as an Associate Member. In 2019, they founded Microbial Machines and in 2020, they founded Dynamic Cell Therapies, Inc. Most recently, in 2021, they founded NextRNA Therapeutics.

Carl Novina's education history begins in 1986 when they attended Rutgers University. Carl spent four years there and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Biology and English. After this, they enrolled in Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1991 and earned their MD degree in Medicine in 1993.

Carl further pursued their education at Tufts University School of Medicine from 1993 to 1998, where they focused on Immunology, and obtained a PhD degree. Following their PhD, they joined the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Phillip Sharp Laboratory from 2000 to 2004.

Overall, Carl Novina has a diverse educational background, including a BA in Biology and English, MD degrees in both Medicine and Immunology, and a PhD in Immunology. Carl has attended prestigious institutions such as Columbia University, Rutgers University, and Tufts University School of Medicine.
