Katherine Sumner has a long and varied work experience. In 1998, they began their career as a Senior Sales Specialist at Merck, where they were responsible for promoting pharmaceutical products and services with emphasis on Specialty products to urologists, physicians and other medical personnel within their assigned territory. In 2008, they moved on to become the President of Pure and Simple Health, LLC. In 2010, they co-founded Nourish Schools and co-created the Super Food Cards. In 2011, they became a Nutritional Health Coach at the Steinmetz Center for Integrative Medicine. In 2016, they began working as a Holistic Nutrition + Yoga + Meditation practitioner at Namaste Healing. In 2018, they became a Nutrition Consultant at Healthful Life MD. Finally, in 2019, they began their current role as Account Manager at Quicksilver Scientific, where they are responsible for managing relationships with current and potential accounts in 16 States. Most recently, in 2021, they began their role as Account Manager at Microbiome Labs.

Katherine Sumner obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Emory University - Goizueta Business School between 1988 and 1992, with a field of study in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services. In 2007 and 2008, they obtained a CHC from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in the field of Board Certified Holistic Health Counselor. In addition, they have obtained certifications in Yoga Instructor Certification - Level I from Kindness Yoga in December 2017, Holistic Nutrition from Tulsi Holistic Living in November 2012, Center For Mind Body Medicine "Food is Medicine Certification" from The Center for Mind-Body Medicine in 2012, Certification in Nutritional Counseling from Institute for Integrative Nutrition in June 2008, Social Media Marketing Certification Course from HubSpot in August 2019, Hubspot Sales Certification from Hubspot CRM in August 2019, and Hubspot Sales Software Certified from HubSpot in August 2019.
