Boyan Wang

Boyan Wang is a Principal Engineer at Microchip Technology Inc., specializing in the device structure design of SiC MOSFETs and Schottky diodes using TCAD simulation since January 2024. Prior to this role, Boyan served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Virginia Tech from January 2019 to December 2023, focusing on the design, fabrication, packaging, and testing of Gallium Oxide power diodes. Boyan's early experience includes an internship as a Hardware Design Engineer at the Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics in the summer of 2017. Boyan holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Virginia Tech, a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University, and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Fudan University.
