Rich Hoefle recently retired from Microchip in December 2019 after a distinguished career that began in 2005 as Director of Marketing for the High Performance Microcontroller division, where responsibilities included strategic planning, press and promotional communications, product planning, and operational logistics. Prior to this, Rich served as Marketing Manager and Director of Systems & Applications Engineering at Motorola/Freescale Semiconductor from 1999 to 2006, overseeing marketing, business development, software development, and engineering support for embedded control product families. Earlier experiences include roles as Senior Engineer at Lockheed Martin, R&D Engineer at Extel Corporation, and Design Engineer at Hughes Aircraft. Rich holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Vanderbilt University and an MBA in Management from DePaul University.
