Peter Hollender is a seasoned engineer and entrepreneur specializing in ultrasound technology and medical device development. Currently serving as Principal Engineer at Openwater since January 2023, Peter collaborates with the ultrasound team to create advanced transcranial therapeutic systems, focusing on user needs-driven design in regulated medical contexts. As the Founder and former President and CEO of MicroElastic Ultrasound Systems, Peter led the development of a handheld device for skin elasticity measurement using proprietary ultrasound technology. Peter's academic background includes a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University, coupled with extensive research experience as a Research Scientist and PhD Candidate at the same institution. Additional roles include being a Teaching Assistant and Co-op at various organizations, showcasing a strong foundation in both theoretical and practical applications of engineering principles.
