Microfinance Industry Network (MFIN)
Kshama Mishra currently serves as AVP of Advocacy and Development at the Microfinance Industry Network (MFIN) since June 2023. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Economic Analyst at Econ One Research from November 2019 to May 2023, and various consulting positions at EXL from September 2017 to October 2019. Kshama gained initial experience as an intern at the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, from May 2016 to February 2017. Educational qualifications include an M.Sc. in Financial Economics from Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics (2015-2017) and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Lady Brabourne College (2012-2015).

Microfinance Industry Network (MFIN) is an Association of Non-Bank Finance Company Micro Finance Institutions (NBFC-MFIs). It was established in October 2009 as the primary representative body of NBFCs engaged in the business of Microfinance. Since its establishment, MFIN has been promoting the key objectives of Microfinance in India and as the Self-Regulatory Organization for the industry, has been working to establish guidelines for responsible lending and client protection. Mission: MFIN’s primary objective is to work towards the robust development of the microfinance sector, by promoting responsible lending, client protection, good governance and a supportive regulatory environment Vision: To be an engine of inclusive growth for India and help provide financial services to 100 million low income households by the year 2020, in a responsible and transparent manner.
